Pastor John Durante spent years of his life looking for purpose and meaning worth living for. Having sought fulfillment through a culture and lifestyle of surfing, snowboarding and skateboarding he turned back to God out of frustration and there found peace and purpose. Finally after attending Calvary Chapel Bible College, various serving roles at churches in CA, HI and AZ, in December 2007, Pastor John and his wife Christina met with 7 people in their living room in Point Pleasant Beach NJ. Today those 7 people represent the humble beginnings of Jersey Shore Calvary Chapel. And now JSCC is a spirit filled, growing church with two locations and pastor John’s radio program can be heard in 9 different states and 2 countries.
