The Good Fight of Faith Conference with Fellowship Chapel
Join Fellowship Chapel and Pastor Cliff Whitehead on an upcoming 3 day 2 night conference, titled “The Good Fight of Faith” in historic Gettysburg.
You are invited to join Pastor Cliff Whitehead, a long-time student of the Civil War, as he personally guides you through each day of the monumental Battle of Gettysburg, where the 95,000 man-strong Union Army of the Potomac clashed with the 75,000 man-strong Confederate Army of Northern Virginia.
We will visit many prominent sites and monuments, including the exact spot where President Lincoln delivered his now famous “Gettysburg Address”. During the tour of the battlefield the actual words of some of the soldiers who fought in the battle will be quoted. There were many Christians in both armies whose personal testimonies testify to their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Some of these testimonies will also be shared on the battlefield and in the teaching sessions at night.
Pastor Cliff will teach about spiritual warfare from the Scriptures at the sessions held in the conference room. The purpose of these teachings is to equip each person, through the Word of God, for the spiritual battle we are all engaged in. In these teachings the Battle of Gettysburg is used to provide object lessons and illustrations to help explain and bring deeper understanding to the spiritual truths having to do with spiritual warfare.
This conference will encourage and prepare you to fight the good fight of faith {1 Timothy 6:12} and to answer the call to be good soldiers of the Lord Jesus Christ {2 Timothy 2:3-4}. The conference also provides the opportunity for believers to invite family and friends who have not trusted Christ as their Lord and Savior but who have an interest in history to come and hear the Gospel preached!
