Community Relations & Events Manager (Full-Time)

The Community Relations & Events Manager is responsible for cultivating and strengthening relationships with churches, pastors, ministry leaders, community organizations, listeners, and volunteers throughout the region. This individual serves as the primary ambassador of The Bridge Radio Network in the community while helping expand the ministry’s presence through outreach initiatives, partnerships, station events, and volunteer engagement.

In addition to leading year-round community relations, this individual serves as the project manager for Bridgefest, The Bridge Radio Network’s premier annual outreach event, as well as assisting in the planning and execution of other station events and annual listener support campaigns. Working alongside station leadership, department leaders, volunteers, and ministry partners, they help coordinate people, communication, timelines, and logistics to ensure ministry initiatives are carried out with excellence.

This is an in-office position based in Old Bridge, New Jersey. The role includes local and occasional out-of-area travel throughout the year, as well as evening and weekend work for station events, remotes, annual listener support campaigns, and Bridgefest activities.

Position Summary

This role combines ministry relationship-building with project management, requiring someone who enjoys working with people just as much as organizing projects and leading teams.

The Community Relations & Events Manager serves as the primary project manager for Bridgefest and other station events, coordinating people, timelines, communication, and logistics across multiple departments. Working alongside ministry leaders, department heads, volunteers, vendors, and leadership, this individual helps ensure that every aspect of Bridgefest moves forward on schedule while also strengthening year-round relationships with churches, ministries, and community partners.

The ideal candidate is a relational leader with a servant’s heart who loves the local church, excels at organizing people and projects, and is passionate about using Christian media to share the hope of Jesus Christ. They are a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment, communicates well, and is committed to helping The Bridge grow its ministry impact throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with churches, pastors, ministry leaders, and community organizations.
  • Represent The Bridge Radio Network at church functions, community events, ministry gatherings, station appearances, and promotional events.
  • Develop new opportunities for year-round community engagement and outreach.
  • Coordinate station outreach initiatives and listener engagement activities.
  • Maintain strong relationships with ministry partners and community organizations.
  • Oversee and maintain The Bridge Radio website to ensure content remains current and engaging.
  • Maintain station merchandise inventory.
  • Supervise and provide leadership, support, and direction to the Station’s Social Media Coordinator.
  • Serve as a positive ambassador for The Bridge throughout the region.

Station Events

Serve as the Project Manager for Bridgefest, The Bridge Radio Network’s premier annual outreach event, while assisting in the planning and execution of additional station events throughout the year.

  • Develop and manage event planning timelines, project schedules, planning meetings, and action items to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.
  • Coordinate communication and collaboration among department leaders, staff, volunteers, vendors, churches, ministry partners, and community organizations throughout the planning process.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and support volunteers for Bridgefest and other station events.
  • Foster church participation, ministry partnerships, sponsorship involvement, and community engagement surrounding station events.
  • Manage event logistics, vendor communications, project follow-up, and operational details leading up to and during Bridgefest.
  • Coordinate artist hospitality and serve as the primary liaison between artists, management, vendors, and internal ministry teams while working alongside the production team to ensure logistical needs are communicated and fulfilled.
  • Assist department leaders in maintaining project timelines and accomplishing assigned responsibilities to ensure successful event execution.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while coordinating teams, volunteers, vendors, and deadlines in a fast-paced ministry environment.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with churches, ministries, volunteers, and community leaders.
  • Experience leading teams, recruiting volunteers, and developing leaders.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, flexible, and collaborative.
  • Experience in ministry leadership, event planning, nonprofit organizations, radio, community engagement, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to lift, transport, and set up event equipment as needed.
