SUMMARY:911 The Conference
DESCRIPTION:Chosen People Ministries decided to honor the fallen and the families of those who perished in the 9/11 tragedy twenty years ago. We worship a God of hope who raises us above the tragedies and difficulties of life. We also believe that New York City is one of the great centers of modern Jewish life. We recognize the connections between New York City and Jerusalem are powerful and binding. These two cities are critically important to God and Chosen People Ministries\, and I hope they are to you and your family as well. \nIn many ways\, the events of 9/11 wedded these two great cities together in new way. New York City and Jerusalem\, which are global symbols of modern Jewish life\, are very different from one another\, but so many Jewish people have friends and family in both places. \nChosen People Ministries is a ministry born in New York City\, and we love this city. We believe in the importance of New York City on the global stage\, which still has the second-largest concentration of Jewish people of any metropolitan area in the world\, just after Tel Aviv. Our ministry also has tremendous ties in Israel\, with a staff of more than twenty-five people there: We have workers throughout the country and maintain centers in the greater Tel Aviv area and Jerusalem. \nWe cannot think about what happened on 9/11 without thinking of the ways in which Israel remains vulnerable to the very same terrorist philosophy as those who perpetrated the events of September 11. We exist to tell Jewish people about Yeshua\, the true hope of Israel and the light of the world.

SUMMARY:The International Gift of Life Walk – NYC
DESCRIPTION:The International Gift of Life Walk will have its run on Broadway March 25\, as hundreds gather to celebrate the gift of human life. Participants gather on Foley Square to call for “Life without compromise” and decry abortion. The crowd will then parade down Broadway through New York City’s “Canyon of Heroes.” The event is sponsored by Personhood Education NY\, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing personhood\, the paramount right to life. \nParticipants will hear from actress Kristi Kollar\, a young mom whose daughter was conceived in rape. Though some told her that abortion was the easier option\, she saw her unplanned pregnancy differently. \n“No matter how terrifying my situation was\, and just because her dad was a rapist — none of this was my baby’s fault\,” Kollar asserted. “There was this life inside of me\, and it’s not my right to take it away.” \nIndeed\, little Adeline was born and today accompanies her mother to speak on behalf of life around the country. \nInternational pro-life advocate Shawn Carney\, President of 40 Days for Life\, will be joined by former abortionist Dr. Haywood Robinson\, filmmaker Robert Kollar\, and Brooklyn Church@The Rock’s Rev. Kenneth Griepp to share the stories behind their outspoken support of life. The event will also feature operatic tenor James Scott Berry performing the National Anthem. \nWHAT: The International Gift of Life Walk – NYC presented by Personhood Education NY \nWHEN:  Wednesday\, March 25\, 2020 at 9 a.m. (Eastern)\nWHERE:  Foley Square\, 111 Worth Street\, New York\, NY 10013 \nMAP: https://tinyurl.com/tdecnjx \nWHO: Advocates for human life\, to hear from… \n\nKristi Kollar\, actress and life advocate\, Personhood Education NY and Save The 1\nShawn Carney\, President and CEO\, 40 Days for Life\nHaywood Robinson\, Director of Medical Affairs and Education\, 40 Days for Life\nRobert Kollar\, filmmaker and “fatherhood” advocate\, Personhood Education NY\nKenneth Griepp\, Senior Pastor\, Church@The Rock (Brooklyn)\nJames Scott Berry\, operatic tenor\nDawn Eskew\, President\, Personhood Education NY\n\nDETAILS: FREE and open to the public \nOrganizer Dawn Eskew calls Kristi “compelling” and is quick to point out that each of the men speaking has the best interests of women at heart. “While many label abortion a ‘women’s issue’ and invalidate male discourse on the matter\, these gentlemen illustrate how that categorization is far removed from reality\,” she explained. \n“Take Robert Kollar…he’s a filmmaker and actor\, but he will tell you that his greatest role is that of father and grandfather – of a child conceived in rape. He stood by his daughter\, Kristi\, through the trauma of assault\, pregnancy\, and single motherhood\,” shared Eskew. “Together as a family\, they speak out for voiceless children of violence – offering life-affirming help and compassion to sexually abused women and their loved ones.” \n“They all have stories to tell\,” Eskew added. “From Shawn Carney’s conversion of Abby Johnson from Planned Parenthood director to pro-life advocate\, Dr. Haywood’s journey from abortionist to defender of life\, and Pastor Griepp’s tale of persecution by the state of New York for sharing life-affirming alternatives to abortion-bound women. None of this is academic. It’s personal.” \nEskew noted that the parade route begins at Foley Square\, also known as Thomas Paine Park\, home of the African Burial Ground National Monument\, commemorating an 18th century burial ground for an estimated 15\,000 Africans enslaved in New York City. Participants will also glimpse a view of Freedom Tower\, where among the memorialized victims of 9/11\, are 11 unborn babies listed as children. \n“These two historical points of reference highlight the tragedy of American abortion\,” Eskew pointed out. “Less than 200 years ago slavery was legal. It was never morally right. Today\, the same is true of abortion. Our mourning of the pre-born children murdered in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center underscores our innate recognition of their humanity.” \nA few days before The International Gift of Life Walk\, Eskew will receive the Sanctity of Human Life Award from the Queens Village Republican Club\, the oldest GOP club in America. \nAbout the International Gift of Life Walk – NYC\nThe International Gift of Life Walk – NYC is an annual public event celebrating the innate value of all human life. Besides decrying abortion\, the mother organization – Personhood Education NY – teaches about all the ways that the personhood of human beings is being attacked at every stage of human development through the fast-paced advancement of science and technology. This rally and parade through the heart of the city began in 2017 after its pro-life founders were denied the opportunity to have a float in New York City’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The International Gift of Life Walk – NYC is dedicated to converting hearts toward compassion for women\, children\, and families. Sponsored by Personhood Education NY\, participants seek to ensure life-affirming alternatives to abortion. Learn more at: The International Gift of Life Walk – NYC.

DESCRIPTION:Join the Bridge Women’s Center for their 1st Annual Gala Fundraiser on Friday\, December 6th\, 7:00pm\, at Calvary Old Bridge\, NJ for an extraordinary evening celebrating life! The Gala will feature dinner\, music and the highlight of the evening will be a message from our Keynote Speaker Abby Johnson\, author of the nationally best-selling book and movie\, Unplanned; based on her life as a former Planned Parenthood clinic director turned pro-life activist. \nFollowing dinner and Abby’s message there will be an array of delicious desserts and the opportunity to meet Abby Johnson herself as well as the Bridge Women’s Center Executive Director Debbie Biskey and CEO Pastor Lloyd Pulley; where you can find out more about their Mobile Pregnancy Center and hear their vision and mission on ending abortion and helping women throughout the State of New Jersey. \nCome and see “Hannah” their Mobile Pregnancy Center on the red carpet\, where 4 out of 5 women will choose life for their baby once they board\, see their baby on a 42-inch flat screen ultrasound and hear the heartbeat in surround sound. Join them as they prepare to begin their mission to save lives and share the gospel. We look forward to this evening with you as we all speak up and defend the most innocent who need us in this battle. \n*semi-formal attire requested \nFor more information\, email HOPEMPC@ccob.org
